The Water of the Distillation

Hydrosols are the fragrant water recovered from the distillation of medicinal aromatic plants. They often have exquisite therapeutic properties and are easy to use, because of their non-irritant gentle nature.

Special Softness

The very special quality of Hydrosols is a consequence of their production process. The oily, non water soluble aspects of the plant float on top of the distillation water. The bulk of the distillate is, however, water. The water transports all the volatile, water-soluble molecules present in the plant. Those molecules are generally very gentle and non-irritant. As a result their therapeutic properties can be different from those of the oil and can be exploited easily as they can be used liberally!
