Ginger is used in diverse medical systems such as Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. CO2 extracted Ginger contains some of the sharp, water-soluble components such as gingerols and shogaols (with multiple anti-tumor properties attributed to them) that are not present in the distilled oil. The CO2 extract is therefore somewhat irritating to the skin and needs to be blended with other oils or diluted with a carrier for topical applications. Ginger CO2 extract is rather viscous and dispenses slowly from an orifice reducer.
Application: Topical (Diluted), inhalation, oral (Diluted), suppositories
