About Our Frankincense Steam Distilled Essential Oil

The steam distilled oil of Boswellia carterii is an elegant, gentle essential oil with  comparable properties as the CO2 extracted versions. It is highly effective for  painful inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and chronic inflammation of various origins.

For those mostly interested in the fragrance, there seems to be a consensus that perfumers often prefer the distilled oil to the CO2 extract.

Aromatic Notes

Resinous, earthy with slightly smokey, fruity, sweet, warm and spicy notes. Not as strong as the CO2 version.

Direction For Use

Topical use: apply topically diluted in a carrier oil or undiluted.

Inhalation: diffuse (not for all diffuser types), inhale.

Other uses: widely used for creating blends, perfumes, spiritually up lifting.
