Essential oil of Helichrysum italicum from Corsica is the provenance that made this oil famous within aromatherapy in the 1990s. It is still the most desirable quality of Helichrysum oil because of its its high content of Neryl acetate (over 40%). This high ester content makes for a very special and heady aroma which adds spiritual or esoteric tones to the proven wound healing and regenerative qualities.While the oil has been on the expensive side in the past due to the strong demand and the limited supply available from Corsica we are able to offer this oil from the 2010 harvest at a more attractive price due to new production contracts.
